My daughter received the My Life As Aaliyah 18″ doll for her birthday. She has been having a blast playing with her. Like most girls, she likes to change Aaliyah’s clothes. My daughter was content with the three original outfits that came with the gift, but I knew it would not be long before she’d want new clothes for her doll. So I set about designing an 18″ doll vest crochet pattern for Aaliyah.

I love how it turned out, and I plan to adapt and expand it into girls’ sizing soon. Then my daughter and her doll can have a ‘doll and me’ outfit. As a bonus, Aaliyah got another entire outfit from the vest. For the photos, I needed plain, neutral clothes to complement the colorful crochet vest, so I quickly upcycled my old clothes into a doll’s t-shirt and leggings. Be on the lookout for that tutorial coming soon, too. If you want to be the first to know when it’s available, sign up for my free membership program and you’ll get emails when a new post is released.

I hope you and the doll in your life enjoy this 18″ doll vest crochet pattern!
